Final Thoughts: Bonnaroo 2012

To finalize our week de la Bonnaroo, we give you our final breakdown of the festival written by the third member of our 2012 Roo-Crew and very good friend Riley Johnson. So here you have it, our final installment and our most expansive breakdown yet, summarizing everything we saw. Enjoy:

Bonnaroo 2012 Recap– Rap, Roots, Vets, and Fem Rock

Bonnaroo is not for the faint of heart. The four-day music and arts festival has taken place every year for the past eleven and is an absolute commitment to go. The festival crams over 80,000 festival goers into a plot of farmland, making it the 7th largest city in Tennessee when the festival is underway. Bonnaroo forgoes the single-day tickets that are popular with other festivals but rather has a huge majority of its attendees camp on site all four

Top Ten Thursday: Dynamic Duos

The week of Valentine’s Day, we did a breakup songs list and nothing else relating to love. This week, we have given off a couples barrage with reviews of Sleigh Bells and Tennis, two duos, and now this list. Top Ten Thursday: So You Think You Can Act

Even though Donald Glover is actually an actor turned musician, we at LxL decided to put together a list of the Top Ten Musicians Turned Actors.  This is clearly incongruous with Glover’s career path, but being the definition of iconoclastic, we do whatever we damn well please.  As always, feel free to comment with concurrences, dissents, and passionate arguments of why you think your favorite musician turned actor should have made the list.  Enjoy.
